MetaLINCS Unveils 'On the Mark' E-Discovery Blog by Industry Veteran Mark Reichenbach

SAN JOSE, Calif.,—October 2, 2007—MetaLINCS, inventors of the industry's first enterprise software for intelligent E-Discovery, today unveiled "On the Mark," a new blog featuring industry veteran Mark Reichenbach that will serve as a forum for Reichenbach and others to share observations, express opinions and foster dialog about current issues affecting E-Discovery.

Reichenbach, whose blog can be found at www.metalincs.com/onthemark, will bring a unique perspective to the E-Discovery marketplace, drawing on his many years of experience leading litigation support initiatives for large corporations and law firms. Before joining MetaLINCS as vice president for client and industry development, Reichenbach was a director on the Discovery and Regulatory Response Team (DARRT) in the Office of the General Counsel at Merrill Lynch, where he also headed the organization's legal hold and collection initiatives and assisted attorneys and outside counsel with tactical and technical guidance for "meet and confers" and Rule 30(b) (6) depositions. Prior to Merrill Lynch, Reichenbach spent more than a decade as a director of litigation support for both plaintiff and defense firms on complex litigation and electronic evidence matters.

In Reichenbach's inaugural blog entry, he states, "With this forum, I'll strive to keep the same voice and straightforward manner my friends and colleagues have known over the years. I've no intention to make this a lightning rod for controversial topics, yet have no hesitancy in pointing out the emperor's new clothes, or his 800 pound gorilla sitting in the corner. I will also try to stay away from the use of the word 'synergies' or 'in this space' as much as possible."

According to the July 2006 Pew Internet & American Life Project, the number of US blog readers was estimated as 57 million adults (39% of the total US online population).

Reichenbach is an active member of several industry organizations and initiatives, including The Sedona Conference Working Group on Electronic Document Retention and Production (WG1) since 2002 and The Sedona Institute CLE programs, where he co-edited Sedona's RFP and Vendor Navigation white paper. Reichenbach is also a member of the Georgetown Law Center's E-Discovery Advisory Board and an experienced CLE instructor.

Much of the information buried within the email messages of large corporate trials has remained inaccessible due to slow, error-prone manual review processes. MetaLINCS makes E-Discovery faster and more efficient, enabling investigators and corporate counsel to gain an early, accurate assessment of all electronic documents.”
