SAN JOSE, Calif.,—March 27, 2007—MetaLINCS™, a leading provider of packaged E-Discovery software, today announced that the international law firm of Thelen Reid Brown Raysman & Steiner LLP has selected the MetaLINCS Enterprise E-Discovery Suite™ to provide its clients with access to a host of powerful new capabilities for rapidly finding, analyzing and reviewing key evidence buried in mountains of electronically stored information (ESI). The MetaLINCS software suite, unveiled in early 2006, is fast emerging as the E-Discovery industry standard for organizations requiring software that is easy to use and yet provides attorneys and investigators with the latest and most powerful techniques for data processing, search, analysis and legal review—techniques that are changing the scope and economics of the E-Discovery landscape. Thelen will initially use the MetaLINCS software on new anti-trust matters, but sees wide applicability across the wide range of client matters being handled by the firm’s commercial litigation practice.
“We selected MetaLINCS software because it delivers an advanced set of integrated E-Discovery capabilities that are easy to use and puts us and our clients in the best position to address the challenging and costly requirements of finding evidence in thousands of emails and electronic documents,” said Thelen attorney, Jonathan Howden, based in the firm’s San Francisco headquarters office.
E-Discovery is now the most costly component of the legal and investigatory process, and as it grows in complexity, the associated costs and risks continue to soar. The ability to assess cases at their earliest stages can reveal important information quickly, reducing overall E-Discovery costs by as much as 75%. Early assessment can also lead counsel to conclude that 80% of the data they processed is irrelevant, not requiring further examination. Such early insight can inform initial strategic decision-making and drive more favorable case outcomes.
Thelen Reid Brown Raysman & Steiner LLP is an international law firm with approximately 630 attorneys, and offices in New York, San Francisco, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, Hartford, Northern New Jersey, Shanghai, and London. The firm provides superior legal services in complex commercial litigation; corporate and capital markets transactions; project and asset finance; construction; labor and employment; intellectual property; information technology; domestic and international tax; employee benefits; government affairs; and real estate.

Much of the information buried within the email messages of large corporate trials has remained inaccessible due to slow, error-prone manual review processes. MetaLINCS makes E-Discovery faster and more efficient, enabling investigators and corporate counsel to gain an early, accurate assessment of all electronic documents.”
