Richard G. Ling, Chairman

Richard Ling is a seasoned computer industry executive and is currently a General Partner at Rembrandt Venture Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Menlo Park, California. Prior to joining Rembrandt, Ling was the co-founder, President and CEO of AlterEgo Networks Inc., a wireless infrastructure company that was acquired by Macromedia in March 2002. Before founding AlterEgo, Ling led the i-Merchandising product organization at Inktomi. Ling also founded and was CEO of Spero Inc., a company focused on creating supply-chain/distributor management systems for large-scale enterprises.

Ramon Nuñez, President and Chief Executive Officer

Ramon Nuñez brings a breadth of experience and a history of success to his position at MetaLINCS. He has managed multi-national operations and early-stage companies, raised funds in public and private capital markets, and developed a solid track record in sales and marketing management. Before taking charge of the MetaLINCS team, he oversaw the successful sale of IKOS Systems, a publicly traded company, to Mentor Graphics. In his time at IKOS, Nuñez was a CEO, President, and Director. Prior to joining IKOS, Nuñez served in sales management capacities with Zycad Corporation, Cadnetix (now part of Mentor Graphics) and Valid Logic (now part of Cadence). In addition to his role at MetaLINCS, Nuñez serves as chairman of the board of Virtio Corporation, a software-development tools company based in Campbell, California.

Tom Bevilacqua, Board Member

Tom Bevilacqua co-founded ArrowPath Venture Capital in 1997 and is a Managing Partner of the firm. He brings over 20 years of Silicon Valley experience as an executive, general manager, investor, and advisor to technology driven companies. Bevilacqua primarily focuses on investments in application and infrastructure software, including technology-leveraged business and consumer services. He currently serves on the boards of Active Reasoning, Innoprise, MetaLINCS, Remend and RouteLogics. Prior investments and board seats include Digital Island (acquired by Cable & Wireless), Critical Path (CPTH), NetSec (acquired by MCI), Immunix (acquired by Novell), Sanera (acquired by McData), Persist (acquired by Hewlett-Packard) and Knight Trading Group (NITE). Prior to founding ArrowPath, Bevilacqua served as an Executive Vice President of E Trade Financial. Bevilacqua was previously a Partner at two of Silicon Valley’s leading law firms where he led practice groups targeting the needs of technology start-ups.

Trevor Kienzle, Board Member

Trevor Kienzle is a member of the Newbury Ventures team. He joined the firm in June of 2003 from GE Equity, the venture capital arm of the General Electric Company. Most recently, Kienzle was Industry Leader and co-head of GE Equity's Software Team, where he oversaw 26 venture investments in areas including information security, network and systems management, speech technologies, and wireless data. During his six years at GE Equity, Kienzle was involved in closing 22 venture investments. These included investments in Okena, which was acquired by Cisco in 2003; Netscreen (NSCN), which completed an IPO in 2001; and RSA Security (RSAS), through a 2001 PIPE financing. Kienzle represented GE Equity on nine corporate boards of directors including Enigma, Iridian Technologies, Okena, Secureworks, and VisionAir, as well as two advisory boards for venture fund investments. Kienzle currently serves on the boards of iSpheres, Onaro, and MetaLINCS.
